St. Stephan Basilica apartment
So, how is the apartment what you are renting from us?
No need to mention that it is exactly in the center of Budapest, six hundred meters from the Danube, that in the immediate vicinity of your apartment stands a monumental architectural building - the Basilica of Saint Istvan, and the windows of the apartment simply overlook the building of the temple.
This temple was erected in memorial of the first Hungarian king - St. Istvan, the unifier of the Hungarian lands. Istvan was supposedly born around 975, and the date of death is known for certain - August 15, 1038. 5 days after his death, his remains were put, next to king Laszlo, and with the permission of Pope Gregory VII, his remains got laid in a silver sarcophagus to the altar of the basilica in Szekesfehervar, which he was canonized and numbered among the saints.
And now in every year – on 20 August, celebrations are held dedicated to the founder of the Hungarian state. Theatrical festivals, fairs and concerts are held throughout the country. The Folk Crafts Festival in Budapest is held at the same time.
The main event is a festive service in the Budapest Cathedral of St. Stephen, where one of the main Hungarian relics is located - the mummified hand of the king. After the service, a solemn procession carries relics along one of the central boulevards of the city - and King Istvan, from time immemorial, again and again blesses the Hungarian people.
Need to say that the construction of the Basilica in Budapest began only in 1851, and there was a reason for this, the Hungarians had no time to engage in their own history, either they were under the Mongol yoke, then under the rule of mediocre rulers, then under the Turkish invasion, then under Austrian rule almost 800 years passed by the Habsburgs and several architects built this temple for more than half a century. During the construction, the dome collapsed, the chief architect died, but the temple was still completed and consecrated in 1905. The height of the Basilica is 96 meters, exactly the same as the height of the Parliament. As already mentioned the relics of the holy king Istvan are stored in the temple. By the way, another honorary citizen of Hungary is buried in the Basilica with national honors - No, no, not Erno Rubik, the inventor of the famous cube, but Ferenc Puskás - the famous Hungarian football player, world football star who played for Hungary and Spain. We wish Rubik health and prosperity.
The proximity of such an architectural monument to the apartment somehow disciplined us, and we tried to do something not so fundamental, nor in very frivolous tones, I must say that the building has this, we believe that we did it.
The entrance to the apartment is through a tiny corridor that opens into the American-style kitchen, behind there is already a living room.
The kitchen has all the equipment, and even a table for breakfast for two or three people.
Fridge Freezer Stove Oven Coffee maker Toaster Microwave American Kitchen
The bathroom is made in chocolate-waffle style, there is no bathtub as such, there is a shower
Towels are included.

From the living room we get into the bedroom, which is also small, but quite comfortable, and already here we find a luggage junk cabinet, for which there is always enough room.
There is no TV here, but there is a mirror in which you can check your outfit.
