Great Apartment for short term accommodation on Sörház street.

The short street between Vaci Street and the Danube, owes its name to the brewery that arose here in the 16th century thanks to the Germans who arrived, and stayed for about two hundred years, Sheraz in Hungarian means brewery. There is nothing special on the street except the Greek tavern and pizzeria. But, this is a huge advantage of the apartment that you will rent. You can’t hear the city bustle in it, neither the rumble of cars, nor the cries of tourists, guests of the city will bother you.

 

But there are 100 steps to the Danube, to Váci Street even less. All outings from an accomodated apartment to the city, to the sights are simpler, better and faster to do on foot. Even a trip to Gellert Hill or to the Fisherman's Bastion in Buda Castle, will not weaken you and will be comparable in time with traveling by public transport, just choose a bridge to get over to the right part of Buda and cross the Danube along the bridge. Travelling to Castle Hill across the Danube by public transport will take you at least 21 minutes, as Google maps say, and on foot, according to the same maps, from 25 to 27 minutes, depending on the bridge that you choose to cross the Danube. But on the way from the rented apartment to the final destination of your trip, you can always adjust the route and look into some other place, like the Great Synagogue, St. Stephen’s Basilica, or shoes on the Danube bank, or just go back for a coffee at Cafe Gerbeaud, which has been operating since 1858, and take away something tasty like Sacher or Zserbo cake, because it costs half the price for takeaway, and if you return to the apartment you wisely rented, you will have a dessert.
